Tricia Lee is a qualified Holistic Therapist and Master Reiki Teacher with 20 years' experience based in Quesada.

Reiki (pronounced Ray-Key) is a system of natural healing involving the “laying-on” of hands and is recognised as being thousands of years old.

It is believed that the technique was first used by ancient Tibetan Buddhist monks and was re- discovered in the late 1800s by Dr. Mikao Usui of Japan. The Usui system of Reiki is a very simple but powerful healing technique that is easily given and received.

The actual words “Rei” (universal) and “Ki” (life-force) are thought to originate from “Raku-Kei” and are from the Japanese language. Raku is the vertical energy flow and Ki is the horizontal. It is widely accepted that Reiki not only compliments other therapies but actively increases the strength of those healing energies by up to fifty per cent. Reiki Healing Energy moves through the healer and dispels blocks and negativity before being channelled through to the client.

Reiki treatments are given by a practitioner by placing hands on the client’s body in a number of positions, allowing a free flow of the Reiki Energy to pass through. Reiki has a way of naturally flowing to the area where it is needed most and clients will have vastly different experiences. The client receives the correct amount of energy on all levels to bring about the necessary changes to restore balance within.

After a treatment, the client will feel relaxed and re-energised. Reiki treatments can assist in any imbalance within the body. A full Reiki treatment takes approximately one hour.

Tricia is a Reiki teacher and runs one day courses for anyone wishing to learn the Reiki Healing systems.

Tricia is offering a 20% reduction of all Reiki treatments during the month of February.
