QF Focus Magazine Death Café coming to Harry's Bar

Following the great success of the first Death Café Costa Blanca in November 2016 and in response to many requests for another, we are pleased to announce that the next Death Café will be at Harry’s Bar, Av Costa Azul, Quesada on Tuesday 31st January from 3pm to 5pm.

What is a Death Cafe? It’s an opportunity to chat ‘lightheartedly’ over complimentary coffee and cake about one of the biggest taboo subjects in today's society. Talking about death isn't going to make it happen any sooner but it may just help those who are left behind when they lose you. Many people have funeral plans but have no plans for the funeral itself.

Being well informed and aware of the procedure and choices you have here in Spain can really help when the time comes. Decisions are sometimes made in the emotional distress when a death occurs which can be regretted afterwards.

This is an informative discussion group, exchanging thoughts, ideas, wishes, and experiences. Followed by a question and answer session, with the experts and professionals from GRUPO ASV, the leading funeral company on the Costa Blanca. It is an opportunity to dispel some the myths about the differences here in Spain to a funeral in the UK.

Many people who attended the last Café said that it had really made them stop and think how they could plan and prepare to lessen the pain for loved ones. They were reassured to meet the professionals and get answers first hand to quell any uncertainties.

There is absolutely NO selling at this meeting, just lots of information to glean.

Places are limited at each event so please contact us to register your interest to attend via Facebook Death Café Costa Blanca / email: dm.washbourne@gmail.com / telephone 672 806 098 or pop into Harry’s Bar.

The Death Café event is hosted by Denise Washbourne (Civil Funeral Celebrant) and is sponsored by GRUPO ASV Funeral Services. www.grupoasvserviciosfunerarios.com/en/.
