3.30pm - Mowlem Community Room Be charmed by Purbeck Strings sweet sound, led by The Stanford Quartet, conducted by Ian Pillow. We begin with Pachelbel’s Canon and Gigue followed by a moving cello solo Elegie by Faure. Corelli’s Christmas Concerto will then be heard before the Concerto for Two Violins by Bach. Purbeck Strings is a music charity aiming to make music accessible to all. Susan Stanford the artistic director had the musical vision to create an opportunity for string players of all ages and abilities to play together alongside professionals.


KAYAK RACE Registration 6.00pm onwards, last entry 8.30pm, at race stand at the jetty in the middle of the Main Beach It’s back! The popular Swanage Bay Kayak race is your chance to get competitive and have fun during Carnival Week. Teams of two people race against the clock to try and get the quickest time across a set course in Swanage Bay. There is a £5 entrance fee per boat. Race times will be recorded and the fastest boat of the evening will win a Paddle Boarding session for four people! Your 2-man kayak, buoyancy aids and helmets are all provided - just wear clothes you’re prepared to get wet in! Check out the details here: carnival-kayak-race/


BIATHLON Registration 6.00pm for 6.30pm start Slipway next to the Mowlem Come join in the Fun! This event is for people of all ages looking to take part in a little bit of fun competition during their week. The biathlon is a swim followed by a short run along the beach.

Even if swimming and running is not your thing, the Biathlon is a great spectator sport, so cheer on the competitors as they compete for their medals and positions! Under 8 years boys and girls, 8-10 years boys and girls, 11-14 years male and female, 15 years and over male and female. Separate medals for male and female competitors. All swims are in a circular course.


PUTTING TOURNAMENT 6.30pm - Beach Gardens

All spectators are welcomed to the semi- final played tonight at Beach Gardens. Final on Wednesday 3rd August at 6.30pm.

MUSIC IN THE MARQUEE MOTHER UKERS 7.00pm to 8.00pm - Sandpit Field Playing songs from throughout the ages on their Ukuleles, the Mother Ukers are a three piece Ukulele band based in Bournemouth. CARNIVAL POOL COMPETITION Registration 7.30pm for 8.00pm start Royal British Legion, Swanage Polish up your cue and come along to the Royal British Legion to take part in our friendly pool competition. The format for the competition will be Singles Knockout games and a speed pool challenge at 50p per try. Entry: £1.50 per Player. A very

popular Carnival event kindly hosted by the British Legion - Good luck and see you all on the night.

MUSIC IN THE MARQUEE CARNIVAL BARN DANCE 8.30pm to 11.00pm - Sandpit Field It’s the night to grab your partner and do si do as we welcome back Black Sheep for the Carnival Barn Dance. This popular event is a chance to get the whole family involved in a great night of fun and dance. With a dance caller to talk you through the steps there is no excuse not to join in, and with Black Sheep’s infectious rhythm and uplifting tune sets will encourage even the shyest of family members to join the fun!
