Have YOU got talent? Can you sing, dance, juggle or do you have a hidden secret talent to wow and amaze our audience and judges? Then this is your time to shine! For the past few years ‘Carnival’s Got Talent’ has taken the town by storm and this year will be no different! Even if you don’t wish to enter, make sure you come along to be entertained by our budding stars and VOTE your favourite through to the final. Each act will have a maximum of 3 minutes in which to wow you and the judges. After the public votes are counted and combined with the judges, the top acts will proceed through to Friday’s Grand Final!
This is a FUN-RACE, so if keeping fit is your thing come along and enjoy a run through our lovely countryside. If you are capable of running 4 miles you are welcome to come and join the fun. Water will be available at the Finish line and the route will be marshalled. COURSE: Starting on the seafront by the Clock Tower, run along Shore Road to Ulwell Road. Continue along the main road until Ulwell Caravan Park where you turn left into Darkie Lane.
Bear right on to Brickyard Lane passing the Brickworks as you turn right again onto Washpond Lane. At the first junction turn left towards Herston and when you reach the main road turn left again onto the High Street following the main road to Victoria Avenue. On reaching the traffic lights turn left into De Moulham Road and right onto Sandpit Field and the Finish! The Course record was set in 2011 by Kevin Quinn in a time of 20 minutes and 36 seconds.
