Back for a fourth year is Carnival’s very own Vintage & Classic Car Show. Now firmly established on the enthusiasts show circuit, you don’t have to be a petrolhead to love this spectacular show - early vehicles when cars were virtually carriages with an engine instead of horses, all the way through to modern classics of our own lifetimes, supercar sports cars, military vehicles, tractors and custom cars.
Everyone will love the fun, interest and… yes, a fair bit of nostalgia on this day. Maybe you’ll see your first car, or the one that brings back memories for you and your other half! A great day and not to be missed - See You There! We would like to thank all the local garages who support this event with raffle prizes and help make this such a memorable day.

Wheelbarrow Race
Over 50 teams of energetic people participated in last year’s fantastic race, which proved a real crowd pleaser too! So come along, line the streets, support a team and be sure to bring plenty of loose change. If you fancy taking part, then simply bring yourself, a team mate and a wheelbarrow along to the Mowlem at the seafront at 6.45pm for a 7.30 start. (Last registration is 7.15 prompt.)
Experience our very own compere Eric, and his unique take on commentary! This year’s course has been tried and tested by our dedicated committee members to ensure the safety of what you will be drinking! The course will be announced

on the night, so keep your eyes peeled, as there may be a few changes, but you are still guaranteed to pass 8 pubs en- route! Lookout for some NEW ‘TWISTS’ this year! And there may be a NEW ‘STOP’ in addition to the usual pubs! Teams of 2 - entry £10.00 per team. Prizes will be awarded on the night, including best FANCY DRESS!
