JM ADVENTURE ZIPLINE Various times/ days– see social media/ website and onsite – Prince Albert Gardens We are delighted to introduce Swanage Carnival’s first ever Zipline courtesy of local company JM Adventure! Speed across Prince Albert Gardens, by the pier for the guaranteed ultimate rush AND a stunning view of Swanage Bay! Young and old are invited to take up the challenge for £5 per ride. The event will be open at selected times throughout the week with operating times confirmed through our social media sites and published on a board at the Zipline site. *Please note operation may be restricted due to site and environmental conditions.

MOUNTAINBIKE DISPLAYS


12 noon, 2.00pm, 4.30pm and 6.30pm A MAD show is totally unique, the riders are the best in their sport, they perform death defying leaps, jumps, hops and balancing skills, using just their bikes (with no engines!) The guys display their honed talents demonstrating a mind boggling level of control, skill, balance and breathe- taking tricks.


DROP


10.00am to 8.00pm A unique adrenalin experience offering the chance to take the ultimate leap of faith, jumping from the equivalent of the roof of a two story house with no bungee or parachute to slow your fall! MAD Drop is a fabulous, towering experience - not a display, but an activity open to the public. There are two platform levels and all users must first jump off the lower platform before proceeding to the higher platform. There is no booking required, and costs just £4 for two jumps (£2 per jump) can you take the leap? Full details page 17

Fronted by X-Factor contestant Jamie Eldridge and backed by three incredible musicians, this talented young four piece are currently recording their original material in Swanage. MUSIC IN THE MARQUEE THE JOLLY ROGERS 8.00pm to 8.45pm - Sandpit Field A four piece band playing rock covers from the last 4 decades, but with a few old classics that have been kicked up the arse and thrown in as well. – if you love it loud, proud and exciting… this is for you! RAW SAMBA 8.15pm to 9.30pm – Shore Road A Brazilian style samba band that brings rhythm, fun and colour to every event with their Isle of Wight version of Samba! Full details on page 11


MUSIC IN THE MARQUEE DIZZY LIZZY 9.00pm to 11.00pm with break for Fireworks - Sandpit Field


The current line-up of Dizzy Lizzy are led by the ever present ‘H’ on vocals and bass guitar. Do not miss this band as H and his band will rock your socks off with a selection of timeless covers. See ‘Music in the Marquee’ on pages 30 & 31


FIREWORKS DISPLAY 9.45pm approximately - Seafront These stunning evening displays are always one of the highlights of Carnival week as Pains Fireworks provides the first of this year’s three Fireworks Spectaculars. The display will be fired from the jetty in the centre of the bay, so make your way to the many vantage points around the bay - the Seafront, Sandpit Field, Downs or near the Quay, and await a thrilling time!


DON’T FORGET - to bring lots of loose change when you come tonight! Our volunteers will be among the crowd collecting for the benefiting charities. NB If weather conditions prohibit tonight’s display taking place, it will be rearranged for tomorrow evening. Full details page 19
