Acknowledgements We would like to thank our sponsors Purbeck Ice Cream and Miles & Son for their gener- osity, without this financial help we would not be able to provide you with such a great and colourful Carnival Procession. We would like to thank the local services,
Lifeboat, Coastguards, Fire Service and Dor- set Search & Rescue who are always ready to help when needed. Also, thanks go to the Po- lice, Swanage Town Council and, of course, all the Participants on the floats, Costumed Walkers, drivers and all our supporters. Without the help and constant support of
all those who give their time so generously, today’s events could not have taken place.
Many thanks to you all
All three girls will receive prize money and will get to keep their dresses. The girls are given the option to purchase their tiaras and sashes if they want, although they are partly sponsored by Puzey & Co. Ltd. Plumbing and
Heating.
A big ‘thank you’ goes to our sponsors, White Horse Inn, Ellis Jones Solicitors, Har- ding Redmans, Innovation Hairdressers and especially Kirsten and Kira who get up very early to do the girls hair and make- up for their big day at the salon, and last but not least Puzey & Co. Ltd. for the crowns and sashes.
The Carnival Committee, together with the Queen and Princesses, would like to thank the judges for all their hard work on the competition night. This year they were Kirsten Jennings of Innovation Hair- dressers, Anne Foulkes, Regional General Manager of Darwin Escapes who kindly let us host the evening at Swanage Bay View Holiday Park, Judith Geldaro of Country Foods, Swanage and Sharon Lowey of Customer Services with Purbeck District Council.
I would also personally like to thank last year’s Carnival Queen and Princesses, Drew Hamilton, Charlie Cole and Kelsey Wellman, who will officially hand over their crowns on Carnival Day when they crown the new Carnival Court.
As you can imagine, the cost of putting on today’s events runs into many thousands of pounds. You will see our collectors around you throughout the day – indeed throughout the week, and just £1.00 in the collecting buckets will not only help enor- mously with the cost, but help us to sup- port our many causes and change lives for the better. Remember: Only give to collectors wearing Regatta & Carnival T-Shirts/Hi Viz jackets and carrying the official Carnival buckets.
