U3A Marina Baixa AGM and Masquerade Ball
This is a notice convening the 10th Annual General Meeting. The AGM will be held at the Casa del Cultura, Alfaz del Pi, in the auditorium, on Monday the 23rd January 2016. Doors will open at 9.30am for a prompt 11am start.
Please bring your membership fee in an envelope, with your name and membership number printed on the front. This year, we are only charging a 10 euros per person fee! Your membership card will be your receipt.
The Marina Baixa covers the areas of Albir, Alfaz del Pi, Altea, Benidorm, Callosa, Finistrat, La Nucia, Polop and Villajoysa. New members are always welcome and we look forward to seeing you in the future.
The regular monthly meetings are held on the fourth Monday of the month, at the Casa del Cultura, Alfaz del Pi. Full details of meetings, groups, social activities, trips, etc. can be found on the website

Masquerade Ball
Something great to look forward
to........Marilyn, our Social Secretary has organised a Masquerade Ball. This will be another fantastic night together with Duo Zodiac.
This will be at the Kactus Hotel on Friday 24th February starting at 7pm. Fantastic menu, fantastic Duo, fantastic venue and of course with fantastic friends.
Throughout the year we organise many special social events for our members.
All reservations should be made at the monthly general meetings with our social secretary, Marilyn Rogers (no bookings by email or telephone, please).
Please put any payments or deposits in an envelope clearly labelled with your name and membership number. The next meeting will be Monday 23rd January which is the Annual General Meeting. Please see above and the website for more details.

Gandia Area Social Club (International)
The club has been in existence for 30 years plus (!) but has grown in strength in every way in the last few years.
We hold monthly Dinner Dances with live (high class) entertainment at the Viva España Restaurant on the N-332 in Oliva. Apart from the music nights we have monthly quiz and dinner evenings and weekly sporting activities, badminton, walking, hiking, petanque and trips away. There are always lots of good things happening to enjoy in the GASC!

Thursday 19th January - It’s Showtime with Duo Zodiac! Tuesday 14th February - St Valentine's Night with Karen Nobel and The Magic of the Musicals.
Thursday 16th March - March with the superb Strickland Band.

Thursday 18th May - Relive the 1970s and 1980s with The Boogie Street Band
As ever, all are welcome. Membership is only 7€ per year but non-members are welcome, too.
