COOKING FOR ONE

on cooking for one. I recently found myself living alone for the first time in 23 years. It was a bit of a shock to the system at first, but in just a few days I had cowboyed up and started cooking. After all, who wants to live on the high calorie, high sodium, carb heavy, closestool filled, artery-clogging frozen TV dinners, or worse yet, the drive thru suicide of Mickey D’s and all the other fast food kings. I have been on a journey now for two years following bariatric surgery that ridded me of 180 lbs of ugly fat. I still have a long way to go, and have been eating as healthy as possible. “Never Drive Thru” is my new mantra. If it’s at a drive thru, it is most likely going to kill you, or as the Joker in Suicide Squad said, “
...not gonna kill you... just gonna hurt you real bad.” I have been boardering on
vegetarian, other than fish and sushi (hey, sushi is fish Buff!) My bad. Along with the recipes, I
plan to offer simple little tips that I admit, I am just beginning to master. Anyone like myself who has lost a partner, room mate, or significant other who did the bulk of the cooking should pay particular at- tention. Let my mistakes help you. That’s why I’m here. Well, that and to write books and play music!
