Get On Board With CPD Training About ISPE
The Institute of Swimming Pool Engineers was set up in 1978 to establish an organisation for the individual swimming pool engineer (no corporate membership) to:
• Foster a professional approach to the design, installation and maintenance of swimming pools, enclosures and all ancillary equipment;
• Give recognition to technical skill and ability;

ISPE President John Cheek, FISPE recently penned an open letter to the trade calling for companies that would be prepared to offer free training sessions for CPD points to get in touch.
“This training could be product-specifi c on any of your products or systems or generic, the one thing we would ask is that all delegates receive personalised attendance certifi cates showing what the training was about, where and when, and that these certifi cates show CPD points.
“This would enable those delegates to demonstrate that they are serious about keeping their knowledge and training up-to-date.”

employees or even those more experienced fi tters who would like a bit of a refresher. It is particularly useful for those who may be about to sit their ISPE Filtration exam too.

Says John Cheek FISPE: “This is for the good of the whole pool and spa trade and I would urge you all to get on board and see what you can offer. The more training we can, as an industry, offer, the better informed our individuals become.”
NEWLY QUALIFIED ISPE also offer their warmest congratulations to those newly qualifi ed ISPE Certifi ed Technicians who, having passed their Level 1 ISPE exams, may now put the letters ‘TnISPE(Cert.)’, after their names. The presentation of technician certifi cates and trophies, including the Gartside Cup for Student of the Year, will take place at the Institute’s Awards during the 113th One- Day Seminar on Tuesday October 18 at The Watermill Hotel, near Hemel Hempstead. We hope to see as many of the newly qualifi ed technicians as possible on that day.

• Promote unrestricted co-operation and liaison between all persons actively involved in the industry and its allied professions and trades;
• Provide opportunities for association and
interchange of thought and experience amongst the members and their colleagues.
