Another Reading firm joins the MHA family

MHA ReidWilliams has built a strong reputation among clients over the past three decades under the diligent leadership of Williams. The firm’s main service lines are audit, accounting, tax and business advisory, serving clients across the south-east.

“It has been a fascinating journey looking for an association that shares our ethos and has a similar outlook on personal service, quality without compromise and attention to detail. I believe that, with MHA, we have found the perfect cultural fit and we will be in a far stronger position to continue delivering our services to the high level clients expect, whilst offering a more comprehensive approach,” added Williams.

MHA ReidWilliams has already formed a strong working relationship with a leading member of MHA, the MHA MacIntyre Hudson practice, based near the Thames at Reading’s Napier Court.

One of the oldest firms of chartered accountants in the UK and a founder member of the ICAEW, MHA MacIntyre Hudson is also the UK mainland member of Baker Tilly International, which will enable MHA ReidWilliams to access world-class international advice as well as provide more career opportunities for the team.

Now re-branded MHA ReidWilliams, the firm will continue to focus on business advisory services led by partner Chris Williams. He will be joined by Mark Wilson as partner responsible for audit and accounting.

MHA membership is expected to accelerate growth and strengthen service lines for ReidWilliams.

“This is an exciting time for the firm, its staff and clients,” said Chris Williams. “We have grown to the extent that a broader range of expertise and specialist skills will be of great benefit to ourselves, and, of course, all our clients.

“In particular, the ability to provide better and local and overseas services, with resident tax experts, more UK coverage for better regional knowledge, access to specialist services such as VAT and employment issues, and more breadth of support from a bigger team of qualified tax and audit staff will improve service delivery.”

Delighted with his firm’s progress, Williams stressed: “As ever, we will continue to provide the same attention to our clients’ tax and business needs. The enlarged team, along with our colleagues from MHA in the Thames Valley region, remain available to advise and guide clients on matters of finance and we will continue to provide practical workable solutions for all client queries.”

MHA chairman Rakesh Shaunak commented: "We work incredibly hard to find like-minded firms with outstanding reputations in their field of expertise to enhance the MHA association, and Reid Williams fitted the bill in the Thames Valley. We are delighted to welcome them to the association where they will be joining our existing member firm MHA MacIntyre Hudson in Reading and in High Wycombe.”

MHA ReidWilliams is the 10th firm to join the national MHA association, established in 2010.
