As well as offering practical skills, in-house training can help you develop


a team building ethos within the planned training delivery. Having a room full of delegates from different departments and levels can encourage team work,which can deliver a wonderful opportunity as it is often in this social learning that the most learning is done when ideas, challenges and learning are bounced off each participant. This can also lead to increased awareness and understanding of each other’s roles, as well as work to increase staff morale. A friendly workplace is always a good thing. Training can improve business performance, profit and staff morale. As a


business you choose what new skills your workforce gains, targeting skills to meet the needs of your operation for now and in the future. Training can also lead to better customer service, better work safety practices and productivity improvements and thus increase profit and company performance. In addition, as a business, you are able to demonstrate to your workforce that you value them enough to invest in them. In-house training is of course also advantageous for your workers.


Employees are able to acquire new skills, increasing their contribution to the business and build their self-esteem. Training can also help them gain other positions within the organisation – and a good company is seen as one that retrains rather than churns.
