the space has been designated to eventually be the site for two schools.
The school is being designed with the capacity to have solar panels — although the board will have to fund this part itself if it chooses to go ahead with this option.
The board has begun looking at the process for naming the school, hoping to have a name selected by the time the ground is broken for the project.
SCHULER SCHOOL Stage: Under Construction. Estimated Completion Date: Jan. 2017
Cost: $7.5 million While originally supposed to be a modernization, a change in plans over a year ago meant that the rural area of Schuler will be getting a brand new school.
It will be smaller than the current building — and the project was chosen so that a prototype for small rural schools could be developed for communities that are of similar size. The
prototype allows for the expansion and reduction of class space, based on enrolment needs.
Bolstering the new school was a $1-million donation from the Drowning Ford Grazing Association. This has been allocated towards enhancements for the school’s gymnasium, kitchen and learning commons areas of the school — allowing the school to be used as a hub by those within the small rural community.

Cost: Not yet determined As of February, Prairie Rose School Division awarded FWBA Architects. The contract to be prime consultants in the modernization of the high school in Dunmore. There is a preliminary design for the school's modernization, but FWB will oversee the schematic design, design development and consultation when construction starts.
