NATM Strategic Plan Tracks

NATM Strategic Plan By NATM Board of Directors

In July 2015, the NATM Board of Directors and key staff met in St. Paul, MN to create a new strategic plan for the Association. Though many of the aims of the 2013-2015 plan are still relevant, the industry, and in turn NATM, have seen great growth since the previous plan was put in place and updating the plan to better drive the Association was necessary to continue improvement. With NATM members' mandatory participation in the compliance program, the focus on safety and education has re-focused on providing more content and educational opportunities between consultations, further, the Association will provide new ways to add value to member organizations and incentivize engagement. And while NATM has gained tremendously in its presence on the Hill, the Association needs to continue to develop and nurture relationships with legislative and regulatory decision makers. Finally, per NATM’s meeting with NHTSA Administrator Mark Rosekind, NATM will concentrate on consumer awareness and education. NATM will now begin the hard work of implementing the below goals and strategies with the support of the NATM board and staff.

The board of directors created the 2016-2018 Strategic Plan for the National Association of Trailer Manufacturers, and have finalized and approved the document. Performance metrics will be measured to gauge the success of each strategy and their tactics to ensure success. The board also updated the mission, vision and values statement to better reflect the Association.
