The International Choir Coral Clásica Javiense has started rehearsals under the direction of Francesc Estèvez. Rehearsals will take place every Thursday from 15:45 to 17:45 hrs. at the Centre Social 8 de Marc (Centre Social 8 de Marzo), Plaza Pou del Pare Pere in Jeus Pobre. They are practising for their spring concert Joseph Haydn’s MISA IN TEMPORE BELLI, Hob.XXII:9 (Mass in Times of War, or also called The Drums Mass). For the second part of the concert the choir plans to sing J.S. Bach’s “Lobet Gott in seinen Reichen”. (Laud to God in all his kingdoms,)] BWV 11, known as the Ascension Oratorio. After the very successful performance of Bach’s Christmas Oratory, the choir hopes to have interested new singers who would like to join and sing in the spring concert in May.
