WCM: What are the buying motives for these consumers and how does that fit into this idea?
EMMA: Our research has shown that it is difficult to find window cleaners and even harder to pay and organize payments for window cleaners. We want to change this by making it really easy to find, book and pay for window cleaners all within 60 seconds on our website or app.
WCM: You are in BETA stage? What area’s in the UK are you trialing the online service, and why have you chosen those area’s?
EMMA: We are starting in Berkshire and Hampshire at the moment, as this is an area I am very familiar with. During our test phase we are just using a website but the Squeaky Clean app will launch in January next year.
WCM: Is it in real time?
EMMA: Yes, consumers pay in advance for the window cleaning, once the job is completed the window cleaners gets paid instantly for their work, saving them time and the hassle of trying to get paid at a later date.
WCM: How do the prices get agreed?
EMMA: We work on a window cleaners price and then add our commission on top, the service is convenient for consumers and due to this they are willing to pay slightly more for this. Pricing on the site is based on the number of bedrooms a house has and some database information about postcodes, an additional charge is levied for conservatory cleaning. WCM: What is the cost to the window cleaner for joining this service?
EMMA: Its completely free…!
WCM: What experience would you want the consumer to have?
EMMA:Our goal is to make the consumers and the window cleaner’s day easier by taking the hassle out of finding, booking and paying for a window cleaner. We can do all this within the app so in a few clicks and swipes, consumers can set up a subscription to a window cleaner with the payment sorted. For the window cleaner, we can save them time and money by making sure they get paid the same day for every job, no more missed payments, chasing payments, everything is designed to take away the existing problems for both homeowners and window cleaners.
WCM: Could this roll out to commercial properties?
EMMA: This is in our plans, however our goal is to make sure that we are the best in delivering to residential properties so this is our focus for the next 6 months.
WCM: What about SEO? How will consumers and window cleaners connect?
EMMA: We take care of all the advertising and marketing, so we bring the customers to the window cleaners for free. WCM: So a window cleaner can actually build up a good, proven customer service level with in this program?
EMMA: Yes, that is very important to us. We let the consumers rate their window cleaner and their window cleaner experience, the better feedback the window cleaners gets the less commission we take for the job so the window cleaner has an incentive
