room’s unique layout allows it to easily transform to suit any style of circuit or workout. Coming from a strict martial arts

background, when I’m working with clients I have the movement, balance, power and grace of a martial artist in mind, along with the esthetics of bodybuilding. Like any fine craftsman sculpting

a custom masterpiece, Eastern Edge Training bases its work in a philoso- phy: I see my clients as pieces of clay ready to be molded or as diamonds that just need polishing. According to their fitness and

health status, I move clients through my Five Phases of Training: 1. Carve—fitness assessment, goal

setting and creating healthy habits and a winning mindset 2. Model—correcting posture, ensur-

ing muscles are firing properly, and be- ginning the process of muscle building 3. Cast—solidifying form,

strengthening the core, and making the body more durable and balanced 4. Construct—adding compound ex-

ercises and using full-body training equipment such as the Power Wheel, CrossCore Cables, TRX, peg boards, monkey bars, etc. 5. Polish—focus on flexibility, im-

proved circulation, enhanced posture and co-ordination, etc.

The Five Phases approach is me-

thodical and easy to understand, and my clients appreciate the transparency of the process. By using a mix of social media, on-

line content, networking and refer- rals, I’ve been able to attract my target market. Referrals, a strong social me- dia presence and a website that shares company success stories have proven to be my business’s strongest assets. FBC
