GoodLife Fitness purchases the Fitness Institute

oodLife Fitness has purchased Toronto’s Fitness Institute, a pi-
oneer in the Canadian fitness indus- try in Canada. The club was found- ed in 1963 by iconic coach Lloyd Percival and won recognition for its innovative approach to health, well- ness and high performance training. GoodLife founder and CEO, David
Patchell-Evans, has a personal con- nection to the club: He trained there as a university rower in the late 1970s. GoodLife says it hopes to continue
to provide high performance train- ing for Olympians and other elite ath- letes at the location in conjunction with the offerings it currently pro- vides at its other clubs.
