Summer Workshop


A “Manager’s Chit-Chat” was offered for the first time this year. The discussions were split by Fairs with 5 or more staff members (above) and “Fairs with 4 or less staff members (below).


Paul Davis (upper left) and Lee Bakst (upper right) with the Florida Strawberry Festival presented a work- shop on “Conducting an Economic Impact Study in Conjunction With Your Chamber.”


The Board and volunteers from the Greater Hillsborough County Fair hosted the Sum- mer Workshop attendees at the Hillsborough County Fairgrounds for dinner on Friday night. Left to right – Janet Aversa, Earl Lennard, Myke Morris, Wanda Parker, George Parker, Gene Holcomb and Tom Umiker.


It was great to see Heidi Herriott, Manager of the Greater Pinellas Country Fair, and Patsy Brooks, past President of the Florida Federation of Fairs at the Summer Workshop.


Bobby McLamb, a Federation Associate member and a certified Dale Carnegie Instruc- tor presented “Finding The Leader In You and Goal Setting” which was the keynote for this year’s Summer Workshop program.
