strip games A SEX offender who played strip card games with two children has been jailed for 14 years. Graham Stewart (52), formerly of Spitfire Road, West Malling, rou- tinely abused one of the girls from the mid-1990s until about 2004. He was sentenced at Maidstone Crown Court having been con- victed of seven counts of indecent assault and five counts of inde- cency with a child. The court heard how Stewart, a former delivery driver, encouraged the girls to play a card game in the back of his van in which they had to remove an item of clothing if they lost. On another occasion he offered to pay them to touch him inappropriately. Detective Constable Barry Good-

sell, of Kent Police, said: “There is no excuse for what Graham Stew- art did to these two young girls. They showed great courage in re- porting his terrible crimes to police. “The sentence imposed on Stew-

art reflects the seriousness of his ac- tions and sends a clear message to anyone else who abuses children for their own sexual gratification. “I would like to assure victims of

sexual abuse that their reports will be thoroughly investigated, no matter the length of time that has passed since the incident.”
