Hospital Pharmacy Team Of T e Year
There are many key elements to building a productive team, including communication and co-operation. Good communication means everyone is aware of their own responsibilities and what the team’s goals are whilst co-operation leads to increased productivity.
A team that excels is the one who, together, endlessly work to improve their efforts. They comprehend the importance of on-going improvements and how this helps support the overall objectives of the department.
The Award is open to any hospital pharmacy team with a minimum of three team members.
General Awards Criteria:
• Enthusiasm and commitment to the enhancement of hospital pharmacy in Scotland
• Exceptional quality above and beyond what is expected • An ability to overcome challenges in pursuit of goals
• How performance has been measured and benchmarked. How successful was the project?
Considerations: • How have the team members established and maintained motivation?
• Give recent examples of a project(s) the team has worked on and the outcomes
• How has the team identifi ed each other’s skill set and structure them to the betterment of the team?
• Show your methodology in day-to-day working life within the hospital pharmacy department
Who Can Enter?
This category is open to all hospital pharmacy teams working in the hospital sector in Scotland. Previous Hospital Pharmacy Team of the Year Award entrants, including winners, are also welcome to submit an entry. All entries will be judged by an independent panel of experts.

Nominations for this award are welcomed. Community Pharmacy Scotland Board will be responsible for compiling a shortlist from the nominations and deciding who is most deserving of this prestigious accolade.

Outstanding Contribution To Pharmacy
The Outstanding Contribution to Pharmacy Award showcases and celebrates achievement among the pharmacy sector in Scotland. As well as highlighting the ever increasing contribution pharmacists make to the wider healthcare arena, this Award is aimed at identifying appropriate role models to inspire and motivate others.
This Award is aimed at fi nding and recognising an individual who has had a sustained career, which has not only had a very signifi cant contribution to the pharmacy sector, but also has been an inspiration to peers. Judges will be looking for someone with a level of dedication that goes above and beyond the call of duty.
The winner will be a fi gure who has had most impact on the pharmacy profession and is likely to have impacted on the working lives of most pharmacists over the course of the year. The winner will have shown evidence of leadership, determination and clarity of thought.

Considerations: • Evidence of giving back to pharmacy and also to the community and/or individuals
• Drive and determination • Demonstration of commitment to community pharmacy
(Though not part of the main assessment criteria, a strong career track record, networking, leadership and communication skills are a pre-requisite and should be evidenced within the application/judging process)
Nominations
This can be an individual who has dedicated a lifetime of service to pharmacy or a young pharmacy team member with exceptional talent.
