Nominations are now open for the Scottish Pharmacist Awards, giving Pharmacists and their teams the chance to honour colleagues and peers.

harmacists, pharmacy teams, global leading pharmaceutical companies and leading suppliers will come together


for an evening’s celebration of the extraordinary dedication and innovation demonstrated by community pharmacy across the sector.


Up for grabs this year is 10 Awards, each highlighting a key skill set. All of the awards will be judged by a team of experienced pharmacy leaders, keen to reward true excellence.


The categories include Hospital Pharmacy Team of the Year, Outstanding Contribution to Pharmacy and Pharmacist of the Future.


The closing date for nominations is October 26th with the closing date for entries being November 19th . The Awards, which are organised by


Scottish Pharmacist in association with Community Pharmacy Scotland, will be held on Saturday 27th February, 2016 in the Edinburgh International Conference Centre.


Perhaps you know someone worthy of recognition?


There are pharmacy heroes all around us. But often they can be humble, acting on the behalf of others without favour, and so their stories remain untold.


The Scottish Pharmacist Awards are Scotland’s most prestigious, playing a fundamental role as a vehicle to celebrate and acknowledge the remarkable contribution and achievements of pharmacy individuals and teams.


If someone has inspired you through their dedication, innovation or leadership, show them how important


their work is by nominating them for a Scottish Pharmacist Award. The 10 categories to choose from are highlighted on the next pages of this issue.


The Scottish Pharmacist Awards will once again be raising money for a worthwhile charity and this year it will be Breast Cancer Care Scotland. Breast Cancer Care are the only UK wide charity providing care, information and support to people affected by breast cancer.


Their vision is that every person affected by breast cancer receives the best treatment, information and support. They combine the personal experiences of people affected by breast cancer with clinical expertise, using this in a unique way to: provide information and offer emotional and practical support bring people affected by breast cancer together campaign


for improvement in standards of support and care promote the importance of early detection.


Their focus is on the unique experience of each individual affected by breast cancer, involving people with breast cancer in all that they do. Every guest at the Scottish Pharmacist Awards will have the opportunity to contribute to this extremely worthwhile cause.
