RPS CONFERENCE LOCAL PRACTICE FORUM RECOGNITION
Also during the first National Seminar, RPS in Scotland took the opportunity to honour stars from their Local Practice Forums and present the pins to Scottish Faculty members in a unique award ceremony.
This was the first time the pins have been presented in Scotland, enabling Scottish Faculty members who could not make it to the main presentation in London to have their own special ceremony.
Receiving their pins were the following Scottish Faculty Members:

Nominated by their LPF leads, the following members were recognised for their exceptional contributions to RPS:
East of Scotland - Siobhan Smith MRPharmS for her role as a Foundation Champion.
Highlands and Western Isles - Alison MacRobbie MRPharmS for supporting the Dementia LPF event and sharing her palliative care experience with the Public and Patient Involvement seminar.
South Western Scotland - Emma Green MRPharmS and Laura Hannigan MRPharmS for organising a Dementia LPF meeting and their work as Foundation Champions.
West Central Scotland - Tricia Armstrong MRPharmS for the incredible support and new energy she has brought to her LPF.
North East Scotland - Matthew Jack MRPharmS for being the first Foundation Champion, engaging in the mentoring scheme and organising a Foundation and Faculty celebration event in his region.
Jonathan Burton MFRPSII, Vice-Chair of the Scottish Pharmacy Board, commented that, "Without committed members contributing locally in their practice forums, the Society would really struggle to connect with its wider membership.
“That is why all of you who have been involved with the running of your LPF, in whatever way – from chairing steering groups to being active LPF meeting attendees – can rightly claim to be the beating heart of the Society. From the Board and the Society team in Scotland, we thank you."
