Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials. Having undergone emotional and physical trauma in the Glade, Thomas is now faced with adapting to a whole new environment and getting to grips with WCKD – the organisation behind the Maze Trials.


Along with the other Gladers, Thomas struggles to trust what he is being told, and begins searching for the real reason why he escaped from the Maze, or was even there in the fi rst place. When the powers that be turn against him and the Gladers, they are forced to fend for themselves in the unknown wilderness of the Scorch.


Directed by Wes Ball, and based on the novel by James Dashner, Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials is the thrilling second installment in this series, and is a treat for fantasy fans everywhere.


Everest: When a team of climbers began their ascent on Mount Everest in May, 1996, they had no idea the disaster they were walking into.


Having reached the summit, they quickly realise that the storm headed their way looks none too friendly. They begin their descent knowing that the way ahead is paved with danger, but the sheer scale of the catastrophe is more than any of them could have expected. With their lives at risk, and the elements truly against them, they must work together in order to survive.


This intense and emotional picture is inspired by the 1996 Mount Everest disaster, and is directed by Icelandic director Baltasar Kormákur.


The Martian: Astronaut Mark Watney is part of a manned mission to Mars, but when a torrential storm hits, the crew is forced to abandon the mission and head back to Earth. In the chaos of the storm, Mark goes missing, and NASA are left with no choice but to presume he has perished. Mark later wakes up stranded on the surface of Mars, with only enough supplies for a few weeks at most. Faced with the most overwhelming odds, he must adapt or die.


With the satellites damaged almost beyond repair, contacting NASA will be nothing short of a miracle. Even if he manages, it will take another four years before anyone will be able to reach him. Bravery and determination are all Mark is left with, but are these enough to return him back to Earth?
