Pentair Aquatic Systems Honoured By EPA In The US
The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has recognised Pentair Aquatic Systems with a 2015 Energy Star Partner of the year award. This comes in recognition of the company’s contributions to reducing greenhouse gas emissions through manufacturing energy-efficient products and educating consumers. Pentair, an ENERGY STAR partner since 2013 is being honoured for its leadership in manufacturing products that earn the ENERGY STAR, the government- backed symbol of energy efficiency. It was the second consecutive Partner of the Year award for the company, who received the award for their variable speed pool pumps. Currently, 57 Pentair pool pump models carry the ENERGY STAR. This represents more than half of all certified ENERGY STAR pumps available on the market. “At Pentair, we are committed to innovative technologies to maximise energy efficiencies,” said Karl R. Frykman, President, Water Quality Systems, Pentair, adding: “We were the first manufacturer to introduce variable speed technology to the pool industry and the first to gain ENERGY STAR certification for pool pumps.” The company received the award on 20 April 2015 in Washington DC.
