Leading role for legal firm

Shepherd and Wedderburn is once again to play a leading role in the premier event for the UK energy industry, All-Energy. This year it will sponsor the event which

takes place on 6-7 May at Glasgow’s Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre. Clare Foster, Partner at Shepherd and

Wedderburn, said: “Shepherd and Wedderburn is delighted to continue its support of All- Energy and proud to be a headline sponsor. The scope of the conference is a great fit for our core energy sector practice. That, combined with the fact that it is now the UK’s largest renewable energy event, sealed our decision to lend our support to it. “Given the location of two of our main

Scottish offices (Glasgow and Edinburgh) it’s a real bonus that the host city this year is Glasgow, a city which is attracting a well- deserved reputation for ‘best in class’ practice in the low carbon arena.”

Glasgow Chamber will be hosting Warm-Up Breakfast meetings on the two days of All-Energy. The events, similar in style

to the very successful Business Embassy Breakfasts held during the Commonwealth Games, will aim to help members get the most out of the conference and exhibition. The first day’s event on 6 May

will focus on the theme ‘Supply Chain: Why does All-Energy matter to my business?’

Chamber warm-up events are a good start to All-Energy The second day’s Warm-Up

It will aim to cover all the businesses that support, serve or are otherwise touched by the renewable energy sector – including hotels, law firms, retailers and manufacturers – in addition to those actually specialising in the sector. Speakers will discuss their

own experiences offering advice on tendering, investment, growth prospects and barriers that they had to overcome in relation to operating in the sector.

Breakfast will focus more directly on the renewable energy sector and will feature a prominent keynote speaker from the energy market. The events are supported by

All-Energy and by Aberdeen and Grampian Chamber of Commerce. They will be open to Aberdeen Chamber members and will be promoted to them, allowing a wider range of networking opportunities for Glasgow Chamber members.

The events will run from 7am-

8.45am to allow delegates to attend the All-Energy conference. Glasgow Chamber is also taking part in the All-Energy exhibition as part of the Sustainable Glasgow stand. Make our unique ‘coffice’ space your home during the exhibition. On hand will be the Chamber’s

Green Arrows, who can help you make the most of the conference. There is also an opportunity to learn about the Green Business Network.
