Busy Sports Week for BB


BBs took part in events which were held over an action-packed 10 days


Three hundred members of the Boys' Brigade took part in events over a busy 10-day period in Glasgow recently. 125 Under 11's raced, jumped and threw at the Emirates Arena during the Junior Section Sports event. This was followed up with the Cross-Country Competition at Bellahouston Park where P7's through to S6 school age members ran a series of courses. Twenty one of the boys qualified


to join the Battalion Team for the Boys' Brigade National Cross-Country at Tulliallan. The weekend finished with the Swimming Gala at Castlemilk Leisure Centre where 60 participants showed their expertise in the pool. A return to the Emirates Arena saw


68 players take part in the Badminton Singles Championships before the Glasgow Battalion Bands Contest finished off the run of events at the BB HQ in Clifford Street, where more than 80 musicians displayed fine skills in the Trio, Mini Band, Eb Trumpet/Bb Bugle, Pipe Band and Open contests.

Management buyout worth £20m complete


Te management team at PDG Helicopters, the industry leading aerial service provider to the construction and utility sectors, has completed a £20+ million management buyout (MBO) backed by mid-market private equity investor LDC, as it looks to capitalise on growing demand for its services. Te deal sees LDC take a


majority equity stake in the business with management


investing alongside and holding a substantial minority stake. LDC’s investment


provides the financial and strategic support to help PDG capitalise on the increased demand for their services in the infrastructure and construction sector. Tis investment will enable PDG to increase its fleet and have the capacity to service the growing market demand more effectively.

Purpose-built city campus


City of Glasgow College’s iconic North Hanover Street building


Ryden has launched the marketing for City of Glasgow College's portfolio of five buildings. The properties are being released by the College due to its relocation to a new purpose-built City Centre Campus. The most recognisable is the


14-storey North Hanover Street building which overlooks George Square and sports the pink ‘People Make Glasgow’ branding. The adjacent Charles Oakley building in Cathedral Street is expected to attract strong interest for a range of uses. The three further properties are


located in Florence Street adjacent to the College’s new Riverside Campus, and Rogart Street and Dornoch Street in Bridgeton. They are likely to attract local interest. City of Glasgow College will


migrate to its new purpose-built City Campus in the summer of 2016, paving the way for these ideally located buildings to be regenerated for alternative uses.
