TRAILERING YOUR ATV This past fall, I purchased an


ATV and trailer from a buddy of mine to use for hunting. As it turns out, it’s not only convenient for hunting, but is also very handy for completing yard work. I guess I should have bought one a long time ago!


After its purchase, I had


numerous conversations with friends about how I should secure the ATV in the trailer while travelling. This is where the story becomes somewhat more complicated because almost everybody I talked to had a different opinion. So I decided to do a little


research on my own. Did you know that when


you load and travel with your ATV on a trailer you need to be compliant with section 111(2) of the Ontario Highway Traffic Act dealing with the proper loading of vehicles? This section states: No person shall operate or permit to be operated upon a highway a motor vehicle that carries a load or draws a vehicle that carries a load unless the load is
