I am delighted to announce that the former Dunblane Craft Market, which ceased with the retirement of the previous organisers, has been reborn as Art ‘n’ Mart – Your Community Market.
The new organisers, local businessmen Sandy Anderson and Eddie McKinley, are hosting their fi rst Your Community Market on Easter Sunday – 5th April 2015. Stalls will be open for business from 11am until 4pm. Free entry & free parking!
Sandy said the former market ran successfully for over seventeen years and it is a tremendous credit to the previous organisers that it built up such a following in the craft world. I know exhibitors were hugely disappointed that the market had come to an end. Eddie and I are thrilled to be taking on the organising of this market and hope it will thrive and grow into a major monthly event in the Dunblane calendar.
Our aim is to appeal to as broad a cross- section of the general public as possible by varying the off ering at each event. As an additional feature of the market, we intend to provide a free demonstration event within the adjoining hall. This will provide an outlet for local artists and crafts people to demonstrate their particular craft or trade.
Plans are also in hand to have surprise
participants at each market to add to the day’s entertainment. The event will also support a charity each month.
The coff ee shop/tea room, a major attraction at the market, will be back to cater for all.
