Don’t worry though, the newsagents will remain open so you can still get and order your daily newspapers!

But their friendly

faces will now be in the Post Office where they will soon oversee a full refurbishment, with the help of the existing staff.

This will bring our facility right up to date and enable them to offer more services, and specific help. They will be introducing a customer service role to offer any help you might need and a place where you can talk more privately if it relates to financial issues.

In times when we worry about the closure of our Post Office and our libraries, this is fantastic news for Dunblane and reassuring that this well used service will continue to thrive in our community.

I’m sure you will join me to offer the Bhattis every success in their new venture and look forward to enjoying the improvements they have planned.

oh! and for those of you worrying that you might not be able to get one of Mrs Bhatti’s curries... worry not! Once she has settled into her new role, curries will resume. If you are desperate for a fix before then, come along to the Quiz & Curry Fundraiser (see page 2 for details) as we are delighted to be able to offer her lovely home-made curry as part of the event :)
