Older person driving test For drivers, annual medical reviews are required from 75 years of age. From 85 years of age, for an unrestricted driver's licence, driving tests are required every two years plus a medical review every year. If a driver does not want to a driving assessment test, there is also the option of a modified licence. This is to ensure that older drivers are medically fit and are able to drive competently and safely.
