Willoughby City Council provides a range of services including building services, bushland, parks and open space management, environmental management, art, events and cultural services, children and youth services, home and community services, library services. Assistance is also available at Council’s Help and Service Desk on Level 4.


AGED AND DISABILITY PROJECTS


Phone: 9777 7581 Plans programs and events for older people, people with disability and carers throughout the year such as Senior’s Festival March 14-22, dances, theatre, cooking programs, health and wellbeing and retirement advice programs, Carer’s Week, Mental Health Month and International Day of People with Disability celebrations.

Phone : 9777 7830 Provides nutritionally balanced meals for older residents, frail aged people, people with a disability and their carers. Meals can be home delivered with a choice of delivery days, or


picked up from the Dougherty Community Centre. Caters for special dietary needs and multicultural preferences. Social lunches with traditional and Asian-style menus held monthly at the Dougherty Centre. Information and referral to other services is also available.

CONSTANT COMPANION


Phone: 9777 7836 This 24/7 emergency response service has been serving the Northern Sydney region since 1987. The service offers security and peace of mind for people who need help in an emergency. When the pendant is pressed, it activates an alarm unit and the response operators speedily organise assistance of either family, friend or emergency services, and they stay in contact with the user to provide reassurance until assistance is received.

WASTE MANAGEMENT SERVICES


Assistance to collect garbage bins from the property of people who are physically unable to move their bins to the kerb for collection. Self funded retirees domestic waste service fee relief available.
