Provides healthy lifestyle education and activities that have a reablement focus for people over the age of 55. Activities include yoga, line dancing, zumba, gentle exercise, walking groups and educative talks in partnership with U3A. There is a membership fee and nominal activity fee. Activities are held in Parramatta, Ermington, Granville, Guildford and Dundas.

• Meals On Wheels • Social Lunch Council’s Meals on Wheels service delivers a combination of chilled and frozen meals. We have a large selection of allergy specific, dietary type i.e. soft or minced and culturally-specific meals available. There is a cost for the meal and this is reviewed annually. If you are experiencing financial hardship, please talk to the Service Coordinator. The Social Lunch program is designed to support customers that require some extra assistance with a meal. A volunteer will visit the person and have a meal with them.

Council’s Social Inclusion service aims to work with people to improve on and maintain strong social, community and family life. We will support people to build on their talents, strengths, interests and skills. This service provides support to people that are older and frail, people with
a disability and carers who live in the Parramatta Local Government area.

Parramatta City Library Service provides a range of facilities and services for public use, many of which are free of charge.
The library delivers an extensive range of programs and talks, across several languages and age groups, to inform clients on a variety of issues such as health, job seeking, improving English conversation skills, computer courses, author talks, Story Time for Preschoolers, Bib’s n’ Books, School Holiday activities, Homework Help, On line Tutor, School Resources, Book Clubs and much more. The Library provides books, magazines, newspapers,CD’s, DVD’s, Community Languages, resources to learn English, free internet, Wi-Fi, Justice of the Peace Service, e-Resources For seniors the library also provides Computer Help for Seniors, Large Print
collection, Basic Computer courses for seniors, large keyboards, audio books, and a comprehensive Senior’s Week Program.

The Housebound Library service is free to residents of the Parramatta Local Government Area and is offered to residents who cannot get to the library due to disability, illness or have limited mobility.
