Charters in Winchester: the cosy clubby look.

FAIRFIELD DISPLAYS Estate agents selling properties for millions of pounds need to create an environment which refl ects the exclusivity of their market. Clients want to be treated in a highly professional manner, so image is key; the offi ce needs to look elegant, contemporary and welcoming. Janice Fairfi eld says, “Our design focuses all aspects of making offi ce look extremely welcoming and practical to sell top end properties.” Fairfi eld Displays provides a complete

service from high quality 3D visuals, site surveys, and installation - plus full after-sales support for the digital signage. Agents can visit Fairfi eld’s showroom in Fleet, Hampshire to see many of the inspirational ideas. Janice says on a high-end project it is cost

eff ective to have a good project manager who co-ordinates everything as you could be working with several diff erent suppliers. Visually Fairfi eld extolls the virtues of investing in the bright LED Pocket

from a standard refi t, says Mike, “We go the extra mile – working with craftsmen who specialise in quality one-off pieces. We also install bespoke technology to give the design the cutting edge and a point of diff erence. “Commissioning a top-end refurbishment

is a big commitment but in these circles you can’t aff ord to let your branches become sub-standard. Keeping on top of trends, making sure fi ttings are in good condition and going the extra mile with interior design will soon repay your investment.”

TECHNOLOGY

One of the easiest ways to blow even the biggest of budgets is on acquiring the latest technology. When purchased wisely it will make your agency stand out, it will make the marketing of properties a breeze, and it will attract customers and ease workloads. But it is a tricky decision as to what is necessary and what is a gimmick. Then there is when you should buy: Do you get in at the start when prices may be high but you can achieve the highest impact or do you wait to ensure you are not buying the modern equivalent of a beta-max video.

fast Janice Fairfi eld of Fairfi eld Displays, says that when looking at the latest products you really need to decide what the benefi t will be for your business. “Are you going to update your screens remotely or on site? Are you going to incorporate iPads into the design? Are you comfortable with the technology and does it give you a fl exible solution to use in the offi ce as well as when you are out seeing clients?” Janice says an alternative is to use the very latest in media players in contemporary new

cases which look like large iPads scrolling through images of your best properties. Mike Simons of MPL says that

at this top end of the market, where the costs of purchasing the latest technology is not issue, practicality must be considered; it must be ensured that there is adequate provision of power, data and HDMI circuits within the original works. Janice advises you should

buy the best you can aff ord but purchase from a supplier with an established track record who provides a quality guarantee such as NEC which gives a three

year warrantee on all its screens – also its new models are getting slimmer and use very little electricity. Above all it is important not to get too carried away and ensure you only get what is right for you. Mike says, “There is really nothing much that’s new and exciting. PC tablets on stands say something about a business, but it’s perhaps more a gimmick than anything practical, and interactive area maps are clever: Primarily agents just want to engage with potential customers in a comfortable and inspiring workspace.”

illuminated window displays that will attract attention from the street for your high end properties. She says, “Be creative with your walls as this can help to reinforce the quality appearance of your offi ce and will make a strong brand image. This will be inexpensive compared to the top end quality furniture.” For classic high end design Fairfi eld uses

the very latest LED Light Pocket Sirius stand which has been used in windows with the highly attractive glow edges. The units are custom made in colours that complement the interior. Fairfi eld has used large 32-inch screens

on the side walls to showcase properties. While next to the seating area iPads stands have been positioned so that clients can fl ick through images to look at properties that match their requirements. Behind the seating large A1 wall mounted LED Light Pockets have been mounted with coloured surrounds which can show recent properties or lifestyle images.
