New Homes focus for Nick Nick Underhill has been appointed to head Chesterton Humberts’ residential


development department and also to expand the brand on an international basis, particularly throughout Asia.


Underhill has been working in


the property industry for 35 years, his experience with new homes has been wide-ranging, working with developers such as Berkeley Homes, Barratt Homes, Laings, David Pearl and Pamlion, and he was one of the first agents to begin taking developer stock to Asia Pacific in the early 1980s. During his career he has also been a senior member of Hamptons International at its St James and Sloane Square offices, as well as working with City and Mayfair Properties and Stirling Ackroyd Investment and Development of Clerkenwell and Mayfair. cHestertoN APPoiNtmeNt Stephanie Patterson, formerly of Savills Dublin, has been appointed as International


Sales Consultant, joining Andrew Hawkins’ growing international department at Chesterton Humberts. Stephanie spent eight years at


Savills Dublin, gaining valuable experience in the international and Irish commercial and residential property markets. Alongside her full time position at Savills, Patterson achieved an MA in Real Estate at the Dublin Institute of Technology. A fluent Spanish speaker and


competent French speaker, Patterson will be drawing on her significant experience of international development sales, to reinforce and expand the business in these areas.

Colliers International has appointed Andrew McFarlane as its new Head of Manchester


office, alongside his role as the MD of Colliers’ co-investment operation, Deanwater Estates.

Colliers International commented, “After considering our requirement for a new Manchester Head, we decided that all of the leadership skills and business knowledge required was already within the company in Andrew. “Andrew is incredibly


experienced. He’s been a senior director in our Manchester office since we acquired Gooch Webster in 2003, and has 25 years industry experience with Hillier Parker and Threadneedle, so I’m confident we’ll be in very safe hands.” Andrew added, “I am pleased to be responsible for the leadership of the Colliers International business in Manchester. coLLiers’ New retAiL HeAd Colliers International has also announced the appointment of Stuart La Frenais as its new


divisional Head of Retail. Stuart previously spent 11 years at Jones Lang LaSalle where he was head of retail and highly instrumental in the acquisition of the Churston Heard business. Tony Horrell, Chief Executive at


Colliers International said, “I have known Stuart for a long time and we are delighted to have Stuart joining our team. His knowledge and expertise in the UK retail market will greatly enhance our retail offer to clients. “Stuart will no doubt prove to be


an invaluable asset as we look to push our retail operations forward.” Stuart added, “I am very pleased


to join Colliers at an important time for the business, and I am excited about joining the team.” Stuart’s recruitment follows the recent appointments of Rob Fay and Nick Round to the Colliers Retail team, and forms part of CEO Tony Horrell’s ongoing strategy of bringing in a number of senior level hires during 2011.

Connells in Cambourne has announced the appointment of Graham Franks as Branch Manager. Commenting on his

ANdrew PeArs joiNs sHArmAN Burgess Boston, Lincs, estate agents Sharman Burgess have appointed Andrew Pears to head their


residential sales team. Andrew, an estate agent in the Boston area for 25 years, joins Peter Sharman and his established team. Andrew is a past chairman of the Lincolnshire Branch of the NAEA.
