The oldest American music publishing house, Theodore Presser & Co King of Prussia, PA, represents Peter Schickele the “perpetrator” of “The De- finitive Biography of P. D. Q. Bach” (Random House 11th Ed.). A super composer who dares to compose and record a “Last Tango in Bayreuth for Bassoon Quartet” is great by my standards. I am looking forward to hearing “Sneaky Pete and the Wolf.” He created the highly enjoyable musical scores for the film versions of both Sendak children classics: “Where the Wild Things Are” and “In the Night Kitchen.” And for the Disney “Fantasia 2000.” What fun to think you may discover more by these artists who share with us their lovely sense of humor.
