PRIMELAB PASSES ALL TESTS WITH FLYING COLOURS

Supplied by Certikin International and designed specifically for the pool industry, the PrimeLab is a

new generation Photometer that can measure the complete colour spectrum with just one LED and Sensor. This means that you can test for almost any parameter with one photometer. Following purchase, the customer can simply add additional parameters by downloading from the PrimeLab website via the instrument’s Bluetooth connection to a PC. This means that the photometer can be constantly updated with new firmware and software in the same way that an iPod can. “The highly innovative PrimeLab also comes with a desktop assistant that allows the customer or pool manager to programme data to and from the PrimeLab so that he is able to monitor each parameter, set appropriate levels for each particular pool or location, and even track the exact date and time the test was conducted with the results set against an account of his choosing. If, for instance, your engineers are maintaining the pool, you can programme the PrimeLab with the jobs that they need to visit during the week, then download the data to the central database when they return to base. It could not be easier! Each PrimeLab can be given a name on the Desktop Assistant and provide data on the conditions of your customers’ pools. This also allows you to offer advice on the chemical condition of the pool and helps you to sell more chemicals,” says Steve Cooper of Pool-i.d. UK Ltd.

Steve adds: “The PrimeLab is the most sophisticated photometer in its class and can assist on a regime of accurate control and measurement of any type of water. The PrimeLab is able to measure any colorimetric test method from Aluminium to Zinc with the use of reagents (mainly tablets but powders or

liquids can be used if the customer prefers). It’s very different from the current products that use several LED’s at specific wavelength or interference filters and then use ‘transmission or absorption’ to get the result.”

The PrimeLab sensor measures the true colour of the sample and then provides a precise result against known standards for the parameter under test (all seamlessly via the internal software) and then gives the result e.g. chlorine 1.23 mg/l. With each measurement, the PrimeLab measures the colour according to the CIE in seven different colour scales simultaneously!

LAMOTTE’S USER FRIENDLY ACCURACY

LaMotte Europe is the European office for LaMotte USA – bringing LaMotte’s unrivalled range of water analysis equipment firmly into the European pool and spa market. Included in this range are the InstaTest brand of test strips, the colorQ photometer, and the revolutionary WaterLink Spin Lab. InstaTest Plus 3, 4, 5 and 6 way strips continue to provide a complete range of instant testing of pool and spa water for free chlorine, bromine, total chlorine, total alkalinity, pH, total hardness and cyanuric acid. The new One- Dip formula is designed

development, allowing the user to match very distinct colours while preventing cross-

contamination. The test strips are simple to use, accurate and instant. Just Dip, shake and read. LaMotte takes the guess-work out

of pool-side water analysis with the ColorQ photometer. This hand-held photometer displays test results on a digital display, eliminating the need to visually assess colour variations. Designed for the pool and spa professional, the LaMotte range of colorQs measure up to 11 test factors using tablet or liquid reagents. Neatly packaged in a convenient carry case and including English, French and Spanish instructions the colorQ is both user friendly and accurate.

The WaterLink Spin is a revolutionary professional water analysis laboratory that can achieve a full suite of water analysis in just 60 seconds. With just one sample of water the WaterLink Spin measures pH, total chlorine, free chlorine and seven other parameters of water chemistry and generates
