GB’s No. 1 Decathlete Gets Help From Dröm UK

Ashley Bryant is one of the UK’s most exciting young athletes, which is reflected in his status as GB’s No. 1 decathlete. The 22 year old, of Windsor, Slough and Eton AC, is on a mission to become the World No. 1 decathlete and is spending 50 hours a week preparing ahead of the 2014 Commonwealth Games and the 2015 World Championships. He recently graduated from Brunel University and is now focusing full time on his sport. However, it isn’t easy for young sportsmen and women to progress without some help from local companies providing well deserved sponsorship and support.

Byfleet based Dröm UK are specialists in the design and installation of bespoke saunas, steam rooms and wellbeing areas. They recently provided Ashley with a new car to enable him to travel to training and competitions more easily. Ashley commented: “To receive the support and backing from Dröm UK, a luxury spa specialist, was a huge boost to my athletics programme. Providing the perfect car to travel to training, avoiding previous long bus journeys, will help not just my training but also my recovery which is just as important. Furthermore I won’t miss any physio appointments which I couldn’t travel to, which keep my body in the best condition possible. The combined improvements to my athletics through Dröm UK’s support will significantly improve my training and provide the best platform possible to achieve my goals.” Barry Smith, Director for Dröm UK said:

The 18 year old from Rippon in Yorkshire is the current British champion in all age groups. Jack has competed at the 2010 Delhi Commonwealth Games, the World Championships in Shanghai, where he finished eighth, as well as at the London 2012 Olympics.

A member of the City of Leeds Diving Club, Jack has made a considerable impact in his first year on the senior circuit. He claimed the three metre senior and junior title as well as silver in the one metre senior competition and gold in the

junior competition at the British Diving Championships in February. He also secured a bronze medal with a personal best score at the Russian Grand Prix in May last year. CPC, the UK’s leading independent supplier of recreational water treatment chemicals and dosing equipment for swimming pools and hot tubs, is sponsoring Jack for the next two years.

“Jack is a hugely talented and inspiring young athlete pursuing excellence in a very competitive field. As an Olympic diver, Jack requires clean, sparkling pool water for those all-important underwater shots as well as healthy hot tub water to relax in between dives. Providing excellence in both of these markets is exactly what we do and we are proud to support Jack as he embarks on this exciting stage of his career,” says Mark Ramsden, Commercial Director at CPC. Voted the North East’s Young Sports Personality of the Year in 2012, Jack was also recently named an England Ambassador for the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games to promote the Games and Team England to the public in the lead up to this summer’s event. “I’m absolutely over the moon to be partnering with CPC as my first official sponsor. The next few years are extremely exciting with Glasgow 2014 just around the corner and Rio 2016 on the horizon, so to have CPC’s support really does allow me to focus on my training and perform to the best of my ability,” says Jack.

“Having been inspired by the fabulous 2012 London Olympics, the opportunity to link up with such a promising young athlete was ideal for Dröm UK to put a little back into society. I believe that sport contributes to a better world and that people who take part will learn essential life skills like leadership,

discipline and integrity,” adding: “We wish Ashley all the best in his aim to be the World No. 1.”
