Hannah L. Larmon (G, G ’56), Fort Miller, N.Y., May 23, 2013. Larmon began her professional career teaching physical education at Greenwich Central School and then at Troy High School before spend- ing the rest of her career as a phys- ical education teacher and guidance counselor at Schuylerville High School. She is survived by her sister.
Albert J. Stebbins Jr. (G), Bow, N.H., March 26, 2013. Stebbins was a World War II veteran and rose to the rank of sergeant during his time spent serving in the U.S. Army. He taught history in the Easthampton school system before designing, building, and managing his own motel in Westfield, Mass. He is survived by his sister, five children, and five grandchildren.
William R. York (G ’63), West Boylston, Mass., March 4, 2013. York served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and as a physical education teacher and coach in Worcester for more than 30 years. He is survived by his children, his brother Jack, and a grandson.

Charles G. McCord, Boulder, Colo., March 13, 2013. McCord began his career as the freshman basketball coach for Cornell University in Ithaca, N.Y., and later served in various administrative roles at the institution. Later in his career he became vice president of Ithaca College, New York. Eventually, he moved to Boulder, Colo., to serve as president of the University of Colorado Foundation.
Robert C. McHenry, Westerly, R.I., Nov. 22, 2012. McHenry was a veteran of the Korean War, was employed by Local Finance Company in Providence, R.I., for 25 years, and worked for the city of Cranston for 25. He is survived by his brother, four children, and four grandchildren.

William R. Stevenson (G), Bay Shore, N.Y., March 16, 2013. Stevenson taught physical educa- tion at The Wheatley School in Old Westbury, N.Y., and Nassau Community College, New York. He is survived by his wife Alma, his sons, and grandchildren.

Adele (Pickens) Adams (G), Springfield, Mass., Jan. 23, 2013. Adams was an elementary school teacher and a Sunday school teacher. She served on the board of directors for the Ballet Theatre in Springfield, Mass., and was the secretary for the Springfield Education Association. Adams is survived by two sons and two grandchildren.

Wiley M. Davis (G), Raleigh, N.C., Oct. 12, 2012. Davis served in the U.S. Army and was trained as a medic. After earning a master’s degree, he taught seventh and eighth grade, and later served as principal for four years, at Douglas High School in Elizabethton, Tenn. Davis served in North Carolina state government from 1965 to 1967. He also was the vice presi- dent of student affairs at St. Augustine’s College in Raleigh, N.C., until his retirement in 1996. Davis leaves behind his son, grand- children, sisters, and others.

Joseph F. Lyles (G ’59), Saint Louis, Mo., Nov. 13, 2012. Lyles was at Washington & Lee University in Lexington, Va., where he coached baseball and soccer, for 50 years. He was a professional baseball player for five years with the St. Louis Browns and also a professional basketball player for four years with the St. Louis Bombers. Lyles went on a world
tour playing basketball with the United States All Stars team against the Globetrotters.
Hugh B. Mendez, Jan. 26, 2013. Mendez was the head football coach at Long Branch (N.J.) High School and then served as the head football coach of Whittier College in California. He coached 13 All-American baseball players, two first-round draft choices, and two major league players. He trained three All-American football players. Outside of athletics, Mendez taught English and history on the secondary level, and African-American history and English at the collegiate level. He served as an elementary school physical education supervisor and as the assistant director of athletics at Whittier. Mendez spent time as the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics district three baseball chairperson and the baseball chairperson for the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.

Jerry O. Moore, Anderson, S.C., March 24, 2013. Moore had a 31- year career teaching and coaching in Anderson, S.C. He is survived by his wife Suzanne, his daughter, and two granddaughters.
Charles P. Sherrill (G), Salisbury, N.C., Jan. 04, 2013. Sherrill was employed at the Bronx Psychiatric Hospital as a recreational therapist for 25 years. He retired, but then took a position at the W.G. Bill Hefner VA Medical Center, from which he retired in 2001. Sherrill is survived by his wife Blanche, a brother, and stepdaughter.
Robert James Donovan (G), Belchertown, Mass., Feb. 12, 2013. Donovan was a special education teacher, guidance counselor, school psychologist, assistant superintendent, and a member of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Regional Review Board for Mental Health Services during his extensive professional career. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, and was awarded two bronze stars and the United Nations Medal for Service. He is survived by his wife Anna, three children, a grandson, and two siblings.

Marian Dorothy Cousins, May 10, 2013. Cousins spent 28 years as a physical education teacher and guidance counselor at the Willingboro (N.J.) school system. In 1986, she was named the Educator of the Year by Inroads of Philadelphia. She was then named the Burlington County Counselor of the Year in 1997. Cousins leaves behind her husband Jerry, a son, brother, and their families.

Carolyn A. Clark (G), Wrentham, Mass., Dec. 24, 2012. Clark started her career with the Monson Developmental Center and then later worked at the Wrentham Developmental Center, where she held multiple positions including teacher, psychologist, unit director, and assistant superintendent. She is survived by two nieces.

Thomas W. Yankura (G ’63), New London, Pa., May 16, 2013. Yankura joined the U.S. Navy in 1963 and completed two tours in Vietnam and received many awards before retiring at the rank of captain in 1988. Yankura then went on to work for General Dynamics for 10 years. He is
