ANOCHE OFFICES, BARCELONA CLIENT: ANOCHE ILUMINACIÓN ARQUITECTÓNICA ARCHITECT: GUILLERMO BAÑARES The object of the project was to create the lighting and interior design for Anoche’s own lighting design office. The goal was to symbolize the importance of light in any project, such is the commitment of the practice. The project needed to explain that Anoche understands that light is a space generator and has many characteristics, definitions and contrasts. The challenge of the project was to create and design a lighting design for lighting designers. The project intended to demonstrate that light empowers an architectural project and, consequently, has an impact on the activities and the people who use the site. The character of the space presents Anoche’s work and how they understand it. It is a creative space, clean and clear, with its own character, searching for order and pragmatism in order to achieve the excellence they aspire to in their work.
SAGRADA FAMILIA, BARCELONA CLIENT: BASILICA SAGRADA FAMILIA ARCHITECT: ANTONI GAUDÍ DIRECTOR ARCHITECTS: JORDI BONET, JORDI FAULÍ The development of the interior lighting of the Sagrada Familia by Antoni Gaudí is a job that started in 1999 and is still under development today. Working closely with those in charge of the building, this long term collaboration has allowed Anoche to develop the work of Antoni Gaudi in order to realise and achieve the lighting ideas he had for this architectural masterpiece. These specific programs of study and research, which have lasted for years, have provided a definitive lighting design for the main nave. The results have led to a number of different lighting projects inside the Sagrada Familia Temple, such as the lanterns that have been placed in the roof space and the luminaries that have been installed in the knots of the pillars.

www.anoche.eu “Light is an intangible material, very difficult to appreciate and manipulate. We believe that once Light has been thought, planned and organised, it adds an architectural value inside and outside buildings, making a difference that is both subtle and profound”
