113 LOOKING FOR TRANQUILITY

Located on the Greek island of Rhodes, the Lindos Blu Luxury Hotel boasts an unpretentious yet luxurious interior. Electron fixtures ensured the lighting did not let the design down.

The Lindos Blu Hotel is comprised of seventy guestrooms and villas with impressive views to the Aegean Sea, deliberately designed to offer a unique holiday experience in contemporary surroundings with high- quality facilities.

The setting is reinforced by the lighting design by Dr. George Fatseas, which underlines the general relaxing atmosphere inbuing a feeling of comfort and tranquility. The whole lighting concept includes concealed lighting in all areas. Linear LED fittings by Electron SA were installed throughout the open spaces of the hotel and the guestrooms. Linear systems, either concealed or with a trimless effect, reinforce the contemporary design and accentuate the architectural details. The LED linear flexible strips were carefully designed in each space in terms of the CCT and the CRI and controlled with an Electron LED Converter with a special smooth control

of 2.040 dimming steps, to reinforce the relaxing environment and make the end user create his own ‘home’ atmosphere. The Lindos Blu Hotel & Resort offers a green installation, which is absolutely compatible to the location of the resort, at the very foot of the rocky Lindos. www.electron.gr

WEDDING BELLS

The Hyatt Regency Fukuoka La Frasca in Japan features a whole host of impressive facilities. Traxon e:cue products have helped to bring the hotel’s boutique wedding chapel to life.

Many exclusive hotels in Japan offer superb wedding chapels and the Hyatt Regency Fukuoka La Frasca is no different. The venue provides stunning ball and banquet rooms, a spectacular rotunda and the wedding chapel itself boasts a tasteful décor.

For the chapel La Frasca, Traxon and e:cue have created a memorable lighting concept that adds to La Frasca’s impressive ceremonial atmosphere Opting for Traxon’s 1PXL Cove Light XR to elegantly enhance the sunshine that filters through the foliage, the space is equipped with 12 ultra-bright, auto-addressable surface mounted LEDs, while the cove lights add a subtle glow to alcoves and soffits, drawing attention to architectural details. Its generous 180-degree locking rotation allows for flexible aiming as well as easy installation and the acrylic casing refines it for direct view. The 1PXL Cove Light XR is available in RGB as well as warm white and cold white

options. With one touch, six different lighting scenarios can be recalled using the DMX-based standalone controller, Light- Drive RGB. The wall-mount device provides direct access to connected fixtures in two or more lighting zones and allows alteration

of colour and brightnes levels to suit individual moods and functions. This small but special project fulfilled by Traxon and e:cue will provide a fitting setting for many happy couples to come. www.traxontechnologies.com
