The grand street that was constructed as the approach to Meiji Jingu Shrine. It connects JR Harajuku Station and Tokyo Metro Omote Sando Station. The street is lined with planted trees on both sides and provides a relaxing atmosphere. It is also lined with refi ned shops including brand shops, cafés, as well as restaurants.

This is a Shinto shrine where the souts of Emperor Meiji and Empress Shoken are enshriened. It was built in 1920. Approximately 100,000 trees donated at the time of enshrinement form a solemn forest now. The Meiji Jingu has treasure museums and surrounding gardens.
