Methodology
The survey ran from 1st June to 8 July 2013 and was run both online and through interactive workshops. We ran a comprehensive publicity programme, accessing various media routes such as Facebook, Twitter and using our own web page
www.raf-ff.org.uk to promote the survey at every opportunity.
We used the TurningPoint technologies audience participation voting pads to gather evidence during unit visits. This method provides the voter with the ability to record their votes anonymously, whilst viewing some of the less personal results instantaneously and is universally well received by audiences.
For the first time we used the SoGo Survey website to conduct the online survey, which provides the means to access the survey using hand held devices. Almost a third of participants used iPads, iPhones or Android systems.
Both methods of gathering evidence provide the ability to record comments.
