“Work/Life balance is talked about, feels a bit like lip service at ti mes. I believe our highest levels of command actually think it is working well. I believe that is because that is what they hear from their subordinates (on a career ladder - don't rock the boat)!!”

“I'm old and grumpy now; however, SDSR, redundancies, capability losses, management rather than leadership (I could go on) mean that my loyalty to the Service has all but evaporated. I'm only in because I'm insti tuti onalised and it's easier than leaving. You don't know how diffi cult that was to type!”

“There are too few people doing too many jobs. Rather than complain, we work ti ll we are broken or sick. No one wants to be the fi rst person to admit we can't do it anymore.”

“My quality of life is excellent.”

“I was at fi rst very cauti ous about writi ng anything but I assume that it will be anonymous. I LOVE being a military wife and I am very proud of what my husband does. There are some issues that I feel could be improved but I take the bad with the good and I have had an amazing ti me.”
