XI. Old Business A. NAfME-C proposal for fundraiser. Action: Cheryl Cifelli (K Stafford) NAfME-C to sell past MSM covers drawn and donated by Dr. Thomas Trimborn. The money from the magazine covers will be used for collegiate scholarships. Order detail will be included in the MSM. CARRIED.


XII. New Business A. Approval of Administrative Salaries ACTION: Jim Waechter (R. Nichols) moved to approve the salaries and taxes for the following Administrative Staff, Paul Swofford, Executive Secretary; Marty and Sally Hook, MSM Editors;David Goodwin, Convention Manager; John Patterson, Exhibitor Chair. CARRIED.


B. Convention Services 1. President –Elect Brandes read the convention services bids with the board. Company names were anonymous to the board, only services and cost were presented. a. ACTION: Jim Weachter (C Cifelli) moved to award Shhh Production the conference recording and PA (public address) services bid. CARRIED.


b. ACTION: Rob Bable (K Stafford) moved to award Photo Majik the conference photographer bid. CARRIED.


c. ACTION: Ellen Seyer (A Palmer) moved to award Via Media Inc. the conference video bid. CARRIED.


d. ACTION: Rocky Long (C Cifelli) moved to award the conference piano bid to Piano Distributors. CARRIED.


e. ACTION Jim Weachter (R Long) moved to raise MMEA travel reimbursement to 38 cents a mile CARRIED.


2. ACTION: Rocky Long (L Kruger) proposed that performance introductions should be between 2-3 minutes and shall not exceed 5 minutes. Penalty to be an extra year before the director can be eligible to return in performance. CARRIED.


3. ACTION: Proposal for approval of funds for upgrading of MMEA archives. Cheryl Cifelli (R Long) moved to set aside $2500.00 for upgrading and preserving the MMEA archives. CARRIED.


4. ACTION: Proposal to commemorate the 75th anniversary of MMEA with a DVD Rob Nichols (C Cifelli) moved to investigate funding for a 75th anniversary DVD. CARRIED.


5. Approval of new appointed members. ACTION Rocky Long (N Long) moved to approve Michael Sekelsky as Technology Chair and Elaine Swofford as Assistant Executive Secretary. CARRIED.


6. ACTION: Rob Nichols (G Brandes) moved that MMEA recognize Wynne Harrell and Dee Lewis at the upcoming 75th conference as well as provide them with accommodations for their work and dedication to the Missouri Music Educators Association. CARRIED.


XIII. Good of the order/ Announcements President Lines thanked the board members for their hard work and commitment to making the 75th MMEA conference the best it can be. Amy Palmer thanked the board members for their continued support of those affected by the Joplin tornado disaster.


XIV. Adjourn- Karen Stafford (C Cifelli) moved for Adjournment. CARRIED. Next Meeting—Saturday, May 4, 2013. 75th Annual In-Service Workshop/Conference—January 23-26, 2013 --MUSIC: Key to Success.
