THE Lampeter campus of the University of Wales Trinity Saint David will be open to potential students, their families and friends, on February 2, and the Carmarthen campus on February 9. There will be tours of lecture rooms


and facilities, and visitors will be able to meet students and lecturers, and attend presentations on a wide range of courses. Exciting projects are under way


across the University campuses, creating first class facilities, buildings and environment for our students, both now and in the future. Cen Powell, Head of Estates, said:


“The Lampeter campus has seen major work with a newly refurbished arts hall, sports hall and library as well as the university’s new flagship Student Services Hub as a striking new feature of the campus. The new Canterbury Building offers new dedicated facilities for all student

COLEG Sir Gâr IT diploma students have tapped into Stanford University’s carbon footprint calculator to see if their carbon footprints measure up. The activity is part of a world-wide


project at Stanford University in the USA and as is part of students’ Welsh Bac module in sustainability – they are the first college in Wales and the UK to have taken the challenge.


HYWEL Dda Health Board has extended its congratulations to Carmarthenshire MND Support Group who received the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association’s prestigious Extra Mile Award in recognition of their continued commitment to providing quality care for people living with MND. John Prosser the Chair of the South West Wales branch of the MND


Association and the event organiser nominated the team: "As a former carer for my wife who died of MND in 2009 after an 18 month battle with the disease, I believe it is important to give due credit to those that make every effort to support those affected by this terrible disease.”
