New art on display at fire HQ
NEW artwork is on display at Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service in Carmarthen as a result of the service’s collaboration with Coleg Sir Gâr’s
sculpture
department at their School of Creative Arts. The service called for an aesthetic
boost for their conference centre and following student pitches, the judges chose their winning design - a modern twist on the service’s corporate logo. Kat Cox, whose artwork will be
displayed at the HQ’s dining room, said: “The whole process has been a really nice experience and it was especially nice how after the panel had heard all the pitches, they decided to pick three artists instead of one as they were so impressed by what they’d seen.”
