These destinations have been a clear focus for the hotel team and the global sales offices.” Regional demand has also accelerated,
as the property edges closer to its opening date. In the months prior to its launch, the hotel received positive feedback from event planners given a sneak preview of the prop- erty’s meeting and event space, prompting the Marquis’ team to focus its attentions on turning prospects into solid bookings. Indeed, Queitsch reveals that the hotel is in the final stages of discussions with hundreds of companies on potential event bookings. JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Dubai has also
received thousands of enquiries for bookings right up until 2018, some of which have requirements for up to 1,000 rooms at a time. “In highly competitive Dubai, it is
undoubtedly encouraging to receive a strong level of forward-booked business through 2013, reflecting the interest generated by the hotel,” he says. In terms of integrated packages for large-scale meetings and incentive activities, Queitsch says the approach involves tailoring the price to suit customers’ specific needs, ensuring the hotel adds value rather than simply discounting the package.
