promotion JW MARRIOTT MARQUISHOTEL DUBAI

The height of ambition Te crowning of the world’s tallest hotel looks set to be the first of

many triumphs for JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Dubai, the emirate’s only venue where large groups can meet, dine and sleep all under one roof

1

Making an impressive addition to Dubai’s iconic skyline, the 355-metre-tall JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Dubai is set to be the world’s tallest hotel when it opens later this year. Aside from being a pillar of modernity, the distinctive design of the two towers, inspired by the shape of the date palm, is a symbol of the property’s Arabian influence. Indeed, the new Dubai hotel will be the first JW Marriott Marquis-branded property in the Middle East and only the second in the world after JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Miami which opened in 2010. Aside from the awe-inspiring aesthetics,

the new hotel has, of course, been hotly anticipated by those in the meetings industry. With over 8,000 sqm of event space able to host groups of up to 1,000, the property is providing the largest single, all-encompassing meeting space in the emirate. Not only does this put the JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Dubai strides ahead of the competition, but it also serves to raise Dubai’s profile among international meeting planners looking to host large-scale events in the region. The facilities available include: 24 breakout

rooms and two high-ceilinged ballrooms (aptly named Dubai and Emirates) occupying 1,400 square metres and 1,200 square metres, respectively; a VIP lounge called Griffin Lounge; a spacious pre-function area; and outdoor venues that can also be used for breakout sessions. All are conveniently located on three levels of the first tower, which is expected to open by the end of 2012. The inauguration of the second tower will follow within a year. When delegates need to rest their heads,

there are 1,608 rooms spread across the two towers. There is also a business centre, variety of retail shops, an extensive health club and the Saray Spa with 16 beautifully appointed spa treatment rooms and 15 dining options, including Vault, which will be the second highest bar in Dubai, after Burj Khalifa, located on the hotel’s 71st

and 72nd 62 qatar 2013 / 62 floor,
