ORCHA September News

August 16 through August 18 was the final cowhorse circuit for our AQHA shows hosted by Area I Promotional Quarter Horse Association held in Ilderton. The circuit champions were Glenn Young/ Peppys Got No Fear in the Open, Sherry Black/ Famous Dry Gulch in the Amateur and Mary Baks/ Holms Blue Beuno in the Novice Amateur. The new Ranch Horse Pleasure is becoming more popular with 13 and 15 entries over the weekend.

Sunday, August 19, Ron Stelzl held his first ever OCHA Show in Eden. Six of our cowhorse exhibitors went and showed in the Ranch Cutting class. It was very educational and for sure a lot of fun. Thanks to Jim McKay, Mike Armstrong and Barb Wilde for helping our crew so much.

August 26 was our ORCHA show in Richmond. Although a smaller turnout, there were some very excit- ing runs for a great crowd of spectators. Class winners as judged by Troy Donaldson were: Open - Ralph Miller/ Play In The Rain

Non Pro - Tim Banick/ DDD Dun It In Vegas Intermediate - Glenn Young/ Peppys Got No Fear

Novice Horse - Jon Walker/ Smoke Beginner Horse - Werner Bohner/ Ace Beginner Rider - Lynne Bowen/ Mega Misty Green as Grass - Roxanne Lashbrook/ Little Goody Two Shoes

Limited Non Pro - Roxanne Lashbrook/ Little Goody Two Shoes

September 16 will be our Finals in Richmond along with our AGM, silent auction and a steak BBQ. Come and join the excitement!

uncomfortable for riders and horses. It’s

better to ride in a dust free environment.

Let Chambers Dust Control with over 30 years experience give you that dust free environment. All products are Ministry of Environment approved. After spraying your arena you are able to ride in it within a few hours.
